Book Nook

Saint Patrick’s Book Nook ensures that we never run out of favorite reading material. Our Religious Lending Library contains books that belong to St. Patrick’s and includes Bibles, interpretations of scripture, Prayer Books, and books about the lives of saints. Christian publications and books that parishioners have used in past religious studies fill the Lending Library shelves. Folks borrow and return books from these shelves using a simple honor system.

The for-sale shelves benefit either our Prayer Quilt Ministry or Food Pantry Ministry, depending on the greater need. Folks donate books, dozens and dozens of books, to our for-sale shelves. Favorite genres include mysteries, novels, books about spirituality, and cookbooks. The collections are always changing. A donation box lives in the north window and allows a reader to “buy” a book for just one dollar for a hardback or twenty five cents for a paperback. Many readers donate and then return the books after enjoying their reads. Of course, larger donations are welcome and always go to St. Pat’s treasured ministries.
